Tears you try so hard to hide
    You hold it all inside
    Pretend it doesn’t matter
    Why keep it yourself
    When you got someone else
You know can make it better?

You try to be so strong
But I always know when something’s wrong
    See when you’re feeling down

    Hey, wasn’t it you
Who’s always been there for me?
Don’t forget what we’ve been through together
    Hey, isn’t it true?
    We promised to always be
    Best friends forever, yeah

Words you don’t need to say
The sad that’s on your face
    Isn’t hard to see through
I’ve been there once or twice
It’s you that made things right
My turn to be there for you

You try to be so strong
But I always know when something’s wrong
    See when you’re feeling down

    Hey, wasn’t it you
Who’s always been there for me?
Don’t forget what we’ve been through together
    Hey, isn’t it true?
    We promised to always be
    Best friends forever

    When the rain comes down
    I’ll be there
    I will always be around
Just wanna be the one to catch you
    When you fall

    Hey, wasn’t it you
Who’s always been there for me?
Don’t forget what we’ve been through together
    Hey, isn’t it true?
    We promised to always be
    MY BEST FRIEND FOREVER

  • Random Wi-Fi Doubles match @ Waterfall Colosseum.

Hey, all. Here’s another Random Wi-Fi match from a few weeks ago. Just an update, the Announced Moves compilations (there are two) are nearly complete, and should be up within a few days. Thanks again to all of those who contributed. It’s been a lot of work thus far, but I’m happy with how it’s ended up. Making these compilations has inspired me to do a new, PBR-related series. More on that another time, though.

At the beginning of the match, Suicune took a bit of a beating, but still had plenty of HP left, and was able to set up Tailwind. Perhaps fearing an Ice move, Garchomp retreated. Gengar was switched in, but that may not have been a good choice, as it was nearly KO’d by Jirachi’s Flash Cannon.

Interesting to note that both Gengar and Crobat are in a bit of danger, from a defensive standpoint, when Gravity is up; they can both be hit by Earthquake. And yes, if a Pokémon is using Fly when Gravity is used, they are immediately brought down, and the attack fails. It was surprising to see Energy Ball on Gengar; most have Thunderbolt. Another interesting tidbit is that I would see that move on Gengar again in the battle that took place immediately after this one… you’ll see that one soon.

I could tell that the opponent really wanted to get rid of Suicune, as they kept targeting it specifically. Gravity helped out a little bit in their cause, as Garchomp’s usually inaccurate Dragon Rush was now incredibly likely to hit, and it did. After a Dragon Rush and a Cross Poison, Suicune fainted.

With Suicune gone, this was a good opportunity to switch in Swampert. Both Garchomp and Crobat are weak to Ice moves, and Swampert packs Blizzard. When Gravity is active, Blizzard is very accurate, so he could take out both of them with one shot. I am guessing that the opponent refrained from using Earthquake with Garchomp, as that attack would hit and KO Crobat. It ended up using Fire Fang on Jirachi, which resulted in a burn. Cross Poison on Jirachi was baffling, but I’m thinking that the opponent didn’t know Jirachi’s typing. Swampert was able to use Blizzard, and it did, in fact, take out Garchomp and Crobat with ease.

The opponent’s last Pokémon was Empoleon, and it was taken out relatively easily by the team of Swampert and Jirachi.

    I used:
Suicune, Jirachi, Swampert (Tsunami), and Porygon-Z (Glitch, unseen).

    The opponent used:
    Garchomp, Crobat, Gengar, and Empoleon.
